Are you frustrated with fad diets that promise much but fail to deliver results? Has the 30-minute HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout routine made you overeat even more? My intention with this post isn’t to set up an exercise regime but rather make you aware of how we humans have come to take food for granted and don’t respect its value anymore; therefore, adopting a snake diet makes us aware of our metabolic processes and metabolic needs of the body.
How is My Appetite of Food Connect with Snake Diet? On his website, Cole Robinson details how in the past humans managed to survive with scarce supplies of food; at one time humans only found sustenance once or twice weekly! Yet somehow humans managed to evolve. How is this possible when today, nutritionists recommend we consume healthy meals throughout our daily routine and starvation is considered unhealthy?
The key lies in how food is converted into either sugar (stored in our livers) or fat, which then gets stored across different areas of our bodies. When our bodies need energy quickly, sugar stored in our livers provides energy refuel for recovery before turning towards fat stored elsewhere in our bodies for energy storage. But, by continuing to eat throughout the day (as nutritionists recommend), our liver will never run dry of sugars and fat storage will remain constant; something which early humans depended upon during food crises to survive!
How Does Snake Diet Work? As previously noted, Snake Diet was created by Cole Robinson. Although not medical professionals or prominent scientists, Cole developed it after studying evolutionary biology and trying out several diet plans – eventually calling himself “Fasting Coach”.
Snake Diet has its basic principles laid out here: It requires fasting as long as is comfortable for you, during which period only “snake juice” should be consumed. While you are on your fast, your body may tap into any excess fat reserves it has stored to assist with fat burn-off; your body will take advantage of them and start eliminating it within days.
Here’s the Routine of the Snake Diet This diet involves not eating for 48 hours straight and subsisting solely off of stored fat in your body. In the first 48 hours, you should drink “snake juice”, a drink designed to speed up fat loss. I will include my recipe below or you can purchase pre-packaged snake juice crystal from Cole Robinson’s website.
After 48 hours, you begin eating regular home-cooked meals during an eight to two hour feeding window. According to Cole, it’s best not to indulge in too many different varieties during this window as your body will likely still be getting used to fasting for such an extended duration.
Continue the 48 hour fasting cycles until you reach your optimal weight. Feel free to take one or two maintenance days as necessary, but remember to get back into fasting as soon as possible.
Here is the Recipe for Snake Juice
To create your first Snake Juice recipe, you will require the following five items from a grocery store.
1. Water (2 Liters). Himalayan Pink Salt (1 Teaspoon).
3. Potassium Chloride (1 tablespoon).
4. Baking Soda (1 tablespoon).
5. Epsom Salt (1/teaspoon).
If the ingredients for snake juice are unavailable in your region, apple cider vinegar can serve as an effective replacement that’s good for both your liver and kidneys.
Are snake diets safe and is any research being done on them?
Unfortunately there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to whether the snake diet is safe. Ultimately it depends on your individual circumstances. Someone living with diabetes or another hormonal ailment should never embark on such diet routines without consulting their physician first. With that being said, however, even regular healthy people (with weight to shed) could benefit from something similar to intermittent fasting but with longer fasting periods and reduced feeding windows than its predecessor – although no studies exist validating the effectiveness of such diet plans! To answer your second question regarding studies conducted to validate its effectiveness is no.
